This link from a 2009 blog article gives more details on the radiation emissions that CFL light bulbs give off. My earlier post (the first one on this blog) detailed tons of health problems people get from these bulbs. Exposure to the electromagnetic emissions might explain the symptoms some people get.
In the same vein, my electric power company, Alliant Energy, FINALLY included a paragraph in their circular suggesting the use of LED bulbs for everyday functions. Before, the utility ONLY promoted CFL bulbs, and without any warnings about the mercury or electromagnetic emissions (which one would not expect, since it might detract from their marketing aims).
The age-old adage First Do No Harm should be the tempering goal of not only medicine, but government and industry, especially when they team up to deploy new technologies, set policies and serve the people.
This blog exists to reveal and analyze areas in which these powerful groups are failing to "first do no harm."
