De-Kun Li: indomitable scientist finds EMF impacts: obesity, asthma, sperm damage

Called the "last man standing" among U.S. environmental epidemiologists working on electromagnetic frequencies research, Dr. De-Kun Li continues to break ground in science exploring biological impacts of RF and magnetic radiation exposures. Unlike other scientists who had studied these impacts, he studies the effects in real time, where exposures are measured as they occur. This is called a prospective study, while in retrospective studies "epidemiologists attempt to estimate exposures and conditions that occurred in the past, sometimes many years later."

One year ago Li found that prenatal EMF exposure can cause obesity in children. His earlier studies linked EMF exposure to asthma and decline in sperm quality. In December 2012 the scientist filed testimony before the Maine Public Utility Commission regarding the issues of smart meter safety. He was asked if science supports the conclusion that wireless smart meters are safe. His expert response was, "No."

The previous year (2011) Dr. Li was one of the experts asked to submit input to the California Council on Science and Technology (CCST) for their health study on smart meters. Li's identifying and contact information must have been removed from his letter at the CCST site because it appears in full at another site.   Furthermore, you must have the URL to locate his letter at CCST because their search is "temporarily down." So, what was so threatening about Dr. Li's input about smart meter safety to have to try to suppress it? The scientist simply describes how current FCC's RF exposure standards do not protect the public from biological effects and damage. Consequently, chronic smart meter exposures put people at risk.

A new article describes a "digital dementia" in young people in Korea. Cell phone/gadget companies have created devices to take over normal daily brain functions and capabilities. Addiction to computer internet/games already existed prior to portable devices. The utter lack of vision or foresight as to the ways this technology was bound to affect people is noteworthy. The biological and social damage will continue in the wake of serving the wireless god.

Medical industry CAN'T add 2+2 about EMR biological effects, or WON'T

Dariusz Leszczynski, PhD, asks in his recent blog how doctors can so enthusiastically pursue new wireless medical treatments using focused (non-thermal) non-ionizing radiation to kill cancer and for other good purposes, while they continue to deny any biological effects from the same kind of radiation when used by telecom and energy industries.

Telecom and energy industries expose the entire populations to haphazard mixtures of radiofrequency radiation unlike medical RF, which is controlled and focused to treat biological conditions and diseases. So, either these doctors cannot add 2+2 about biological impacts, or they do not want to.

Sadly, doctors are only human with the same wireless dependency and fascination as other people. They run with the culture's lemming stampede the way doctors did in the age of Big Tobacco. They would rather point their fun RF machines at a few cancer cells than save countless lives in the bigger picture.

Cyber attacks on medical devices a risk with wireless hospitals and devices...SOLUTION

US warns of cyber attacks on medical devices 

 

AFP - US authorities on Thursday warned makers of medical devices and hospital networks to step up efforts to guard against potential cyber attacks.

The US Food and Drug Administration said implanted devices, which could include pacemakers or defibrillators, could be connected to networks that are vulnerable to hackers.

An FDA warning notice was sent to medical device manufacturers, hospitals, medical device user facilities, health care technical staff and biomedical engineers.

It said the agency has recently "become aware of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and incidents that could directly impact medical devices or hospital network operations."

 

The truth is that wireless technology and systems ENABLE hackers. A simple solution to hacking would be to revert to wired systems, and break up networks. For example, medical facilities could have many ports to attach non-wireless personal gadgets and upload/download using fiber optic, speed-of-light, systems. Wired/fiber systems could still be hacked, but not remotely. And not if the wiring has firewalls and does not connect automatically to a central location.

Non-wireless mechanical medical devices are not easily hacked the ways wireless ones are. RF radiation also increases the risk of unintended electromagnetic interference with implants.

Cyber attacks of wireless medicine are only one problem. RF medical devices and systems also expose the most vulnerable people - patients - to increased ambient radiofrequency radiation. RF has repeatedly been shown to interfere with healing and cell membrane functions. It creates biological oxidative stress that functions like other kinds of stress in creating free radical damage. Denial of RF biological risks is like the defense of tobacco smoking as harmless and even healthy a couple decades ago.

If you care about fetal health sign a new petition to fire the FCC from its responsibility for setting safe radiofrequency radiation limits. FCC has a clear conflict of interest: it works to promote technology first and foremost. Public health is an after-thought.

Sign the petition NOW to release the rogue FCC from the crucial RF exposure standards function, and enlist the EPA instead!

And BTW, think what WiFi pulses and RF transmitting utility "smart" meter bursts are doing to fetuses 24/7. It does not bode well.

 

PETITION: Fire FCC, enlist EPA to address radiofrequency biological safety limits

FCC staff have a conflict of interest (see below) in deciding what radiofrequency and microwave radiation exposure limits to adopt. They cannot help it: they work for industry. And they do a great job of it. They simply are NOT a public health agency and therefore are UNABLE to prioritize public safety and health.

The FCC does not even monitor high microwave heating limits on cellular antennas, according to an established independent organization's recent investigative report. Does this inspire confidence in the FCC's concern for protecting public health?

Let's fire the FCC from its RF standards responsibilities, which it cannot handle properly. Please SIGN THIS PETITION to get the ball rolling. Let's get congress to enlist the EPA and create meaningful, biological exposure limits - it is our best hope at this point.

FCC: Conflict of Interest?

Barris considers it peculiar that the FDA delegated the responsibility of creating safety standards for EMR to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), which regulates the telecommunications in the United States and internationally, to set standards related to acceptable levels of radio frequency (RF) exposure.

"There are two problems [with this]. The FCC is not a health organization, and is therefore not qualified to make assessments health. Second, the FCC resorted to allowing the telecom industry and its paid industry scientists to set the current standards. Would you trust the tobacco industry to tell you about the safety of their product or would you prefer the U.S. Surgeon General to do it?" asks Barris.
